Biography
Formed in Finland in the early 2000s and taking its current shape in 2005, Vortech blends extreme metal with industrial electronics and progressive elements, shifting between breakneck riffs and slower, atmospheric passages. Its futuristic sound draws on the tension between human and machine, with each release exploring a different balance of aggression, melody, and electronic texture.
From the early foundations of Conclusion (2006) and Wasteland (2007) to the fan-shaped world of The Shadow Presence (2022), the project has continued to evolve. The ninth album, Void Emergent, was released in December 2025, carrying the story into a dystopian vision of humanity's future. Work is now underway on the tenth album: all songs have been demoed, most lyrics are written, and preproduction is in progress.
